Chosen Solution

I have bought an defectiv ipad Air 32 GB. The Digitizer of the device does not responding at all. I have already done mutliple Hard resets and flashed the newest Firmware. But nothing changes. The iPad has no scratches, no dents, the Glas is not broken or anything else, no water damage, everything original Parts. The iPad looks like brand new. So, before i am trying to change the digitizer, is there any possible solution for my problem? Is it possible, that the logicboard has a problem? If yes, which part of the logicboard is responsible for the Digitizer? Update I have have changed the digitizer against a new one, but it won’t work also

Hi christian, It sounds as if it is a board problem. could be the touch controller ic. the picture i have linked shows whats under the little metal cover on the logic board behind the touch connector. i would suggest having a look at those components and see if anything is out of the ordinary and clean with some ipa. http://m.eet.com/media/1201343/Broadcom-… hope this helps you in some way

I have heated up the controller ic with an hot air gun, without removing the emi shield. For now, it helps. The digitizer works again. I hope, this will fix my problem for an long time.

No one with a suggestion?

Same exact issue here with my iPad air model A1475. The digitizer is fine but not functioning. It is in perfect shape. I also did hard resets and update the OS with no luck.I am willing to take it apart again, but what shouId I be looking to do? check connections on the chip?
