Chosen Solution
It started doing this a few days ago. Tried powering off/on, letting it sit powered off outside of the case to “cool down”. No joy on either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
Looks to me like the LCD is bad or some how the connector got loose. If you dropped it this could be the result of that, but if not it might just be faulty. iPads can be a pain to fix and diagnose, but if someone brought this to me I would replace the LCD panel. The screens on the iPad minis have connectors like an iPhone so it possibly could’ve come slightly disconnected, but you would have to open it up either way. If you do, just make sure you clean all of the adhesive off the housing before laying the screen back down.
