so I have a customers ipad air 2. when charging normally its not working.. when I put the ipad in recovery mode I managed to charge it from 1% to 12%. when i turn it on and put the charger in it wont charge. only in recovery. Anyone know what causes this and how do I fix it?
most of the time when you get charging issues on an air 2 its going to be a bad tristar IC. Ive only seen 1 air 2 that needed a battery. Aswell as trying to source a battery that doesn’t report fake HDQ data will be difficult for the air 2.
Are you a tech? and are you capable of doing a micro soldering repair?
