It is always kept in a safe place inside a case and I use it with the Smart Keyboard, so I don’t think it’s physical damage, and the battery isn’t swollen with fair battery life. UPDATE: it does more of that whenever the ipad is cold. When it’s warm it goes back to normal.
It’s a possibility that the connection for the battery is loose and maybe the screw to tighten the battery connector is loose or worked itself out.
