Chosen Solution
I tried charging it today on the ipad charger an left in on at 34% for a couple hours. When i went back to check on it, it was dead like it needed a charge. I tried holding the top and home keys for 30 seconds. I also let it charge for way more then an hour and checked it periodically throughout the day. I also tried connecting to the computer but he mac book pro doesn’t recognize it. First time this is happened, I have had this ipad 2 for a year. I really need this fixed I am leaving on a trip in a couple days.
Try another cable and ensure you are using at least a 2A charger. Are you able to see low battery logo at least on the screen? If not check charging port it could be physically damaged.
