My IPhone 4 is incredibly hot near the rear camera and gets even hotter when I plug it in. While in use(Home screen) the portion of the screen near the rear camera, which, as far as I know, works just fine. The battery also plummets from the second I unplug it, dropping 13% in 45 minutes while fully powered down after a full charge. It has seen it’s fair share of drops, but there is no visible damage on it. It’s my only cell phone, and I don’t have enough cash to replace the device. Please fix ASAP!

1.Turn Off App Background refresh. 2.Turn off automatic backup through wifi in iTunes(if you are using). 3.Activate low power mode. 4.Reduce motion(in settings). 5.Reset your phone. 6.If all these steps were not of use - change the battery

I have this same issue but with an ipod 4, my best guess is the apps you are using the processor and/or RAM is having a hard time working with that app because that app has higher requirements than a lower ios app
