Hello, my iPhone 4S was working/charging properly until today I wanted to charge it once it was at 50% plugging it in didn’t do anything but made the cable very hot, the iPhone was still working but didn’t make the charging noise. Once I plugged it into my laptop using another cable t said that one of the USB devices (iPhone) was taking too much power. So my iPhone takes in too much power, overheats the cable but won’t charge with any cable/adapter. I will not be using my iPhones last 50% until I hopefully fix it up. Any help is appreciated.

Bwar Bahzad first start off by replacing the battery. Get a quality battery and then recheck. If you have an USB Ammeter, check the amperage your phone draws. IF a new battery does not resolve it, replace the dock connector. iPhone 4S Battery Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide iPhone 4S Dock Connector Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide
