The touch screen is not working on this iphone i bought to repair. I ahve tested 2 screens on a different deviec and they work fine. But when used on this particular 4s the screen will turn on, but will not recognize touch. I have tried restoring, no help. What could be causing the digitizer to not work?
Take a look at the digitizer connector make sure it is clean and you don’t see any damaged filters or resistors around the connector.
Nearly anything on an iPhone can be replaced–it is just a matter of how much time/resources you want to invest. It would take very specialized talent to desolder the connector socket and solder on a new one without breaking anything else on the board
