So this is a weird problem. My iPhone 5 16GB Verizon US UNLOCKED has a working earpiece and speaker (tested via VOICE MEMOS) However, when placing a call through the phones ‘Phone’ app, no dial tone can be heard, or the other persons voice, but the phone does connect. It’s just I can’t be heard and others can’t hear me during a call. I downloaded a VOIP app and everything worked normally. I restored, and still same problem? What could be wrong? Thanks!
Hello, So the mic that is used during voice memos is the bottom mic and the one used during phone calls is the top mic. It is actually fairly common for people to be perplexed by this issue! If you are comfortable working on your own device simply check for the ifixit guide! Hope this helps!
