Chosen Solution
Since having accidentally dropped my iPhone 5, the screen has been black and unresponsive. The screen isn’t cracked though, and the backligh still works. Everything else also still works: toggling the sound switch vibrates the phone, I can still get called and it can still connect to iTunes. So the only thing that doesn’t work is the light of the screen. Does anybody know what’s wrong with this and how I can fix it?
Chad, it is possibly to have a dislodge cable connector or a broken display. You may want to try a hard reset and/or restore. If that does not resolve it then you will have to replace the display assembly. Hope this helps, good luck.
