replaced a lcd screen on an iphone 5 and everything was working fine. the battery was charging. then went to charge it before i wen to sleep and was at 28% woke up and it was at 13% while plugged in. i connected to my computer and itunes and it comes up and will sync but the battery wont charge and i do get the charge symbol both times. i did a hard reset and restored it to factory settings and still was doing it, so i replaced the battery with a new apple original one and it still wont charge. i’m lost on what it could be.

Did you try replacing the dock connector, but I am thinking you have a problem with the charging circuit on the logic board. That will need to be replaced by Apple or you can find a shop in your area that can do that type of repair.

This is the “fake charging” problem which is common to all iDevices. Did this phone have drop damage or water damage? If you don’t see any damage on the logic board near the battery connector, then you will need a difficult repair—one that you would have to outsource to a shop that specializes in this repair–I only know of a handful of places that could do this repair, it isn’t something that the average screen replacement shop could do.

same problem here but i replaced the cable and problem solved.
