Hey hopping someone can help, I recently got a iphone 5c that was dead, I replaced the battery and the screen and i got it working again. The problem is the time doesn’t set automatically even though the setting is on and when I lock the screen the time stops counting. Can anyone help? UPDATE Hey so I have noticed that the time changes when the battery is charging but stops as soon as the battery is 100%. Could this be a battery issue?
There is a crystal oscillator (Y2) on the board which can fail which can cause this problem. It’s something which can be replaced. Requires micro soldering.
I have the exact same problem as you except that mine crashes my phone when I try to get into date and time
