Hi everyone. I bought a new vibrator for my iPhone 5c, since the original one wasn’t working properly. To replace it, I removed the display and the battery, like in the guide we find here. The new piece didn’t work. So I put the original back… and for my surprise, it didn’t work as well. I bought a new vibrator and followed the same steps to replace it. Still, no life. Someone can understand what happened and what should I do? Thank you!
First, double check that vibrate isn’t disabled in the Settings menu (Settings->Sounds). At least the “Vibrate on Silent” option should be checked. If one (or both) are checked, then I would clean the two copper contacts on the vibrator motor and on the board with 99% isopropyl alcohol, then reassemble. Hopefully, this helps.
Hi Tim! Thank you for your answer. I did check if the vibrate was disabled, it is enabled. I opened the phone again and did cleaned the metal contacts. Still, didn’t work after turning the iPhone on. I’m starting to worry that something happened with the logic board, I don’t know…
