Chosen Solution
So i was given an ipgone 5s. it was booting to the point of setup but after setup wouldnt recognise my sim card - always searching. so I thought I would update/restore. now it gets stucked durring the process. the progress bar on the phone gets to just past the apple. itunes says “the phone iphone could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (-1)” consiring that it was booting to set up mode previously then why is getting ths message now and not completely restoring? thanks
Have you tried doing a hard resore? If not, you would hold down both the home and power button and keep holding them both until the phone shows the Apple logo. Then release only the power button. The phone will show a ‘‘connect to iTunes’ screen. Then iTunes will do the rest once you plug your phone into a computer.
