Hello, I replaced the battery from an Iphone 5S with an new one from ebay, afterwards the loudspeaker was dead. Replaced loudspeaker and lightning port unit with a new one. Speaker is working again, but battery won’t charge anymore. Little lightning symbol in the upper corner indicates battery is charging, but even after hours on cable, battery is losing power instead of charging. Installed the old dock connector unit, Iphone is charging again, but loudspeaker is dead. Any help would be appreciated.
You have a faulty dock flex, which is common with ebay parts. You will have to get another. i suggest getting one from ifixit :)
Hello, I have the same problem except I bought the battery here.
common on the Five S if you have a known working dock, battery and good charger is what is called the tristar IC chip -this regulates charging- Microsoldering.com, Ipad rehab are 2 places to start for this repair.
