iPhone 5s home button and touch id no longer work after replacing the battery. When I put in another home button from another phone it works but without touch ID. The home button cable it not turn or visibly damaged. Any suggestions?
Even if it looks undamaged, the old home button is broken. Touch ID is missing on the new one because Apple pairs the sensors to each iPhone. Unfortunately, you will have to live without Touch ID.
