My fone has to be charged before battery goes zero. Else it wont switch on. I have to give it to the service centre everytime that happens and they do a “battery boost” (dunno how that’s done) and phone is working again. but still same problem.. i some how manage to keep it charged before draining completely. But i have failed yet again.. my bad luck i am not anywhere near a service centre or can buy a new battery.. so can some one help me to bring back my phone batter to life? plz Phone Model: A 1428 Battery Li-ion polymer battery APN: 616-0610 I some how have managed to open the display screen and my iphone is in 2 pieces now.

The idea of boosting a li-ion battery is the same principle as jumping a car battery. You simply supply a higher voltage for a short time. Li-ion batteries usually have a protective circuit that protects them from under voltage, over voltage and other factors that could harm the battery. If the batteries voltage drops to low it will enter into a protective state which puts the battery in a sleep like state. In this sleep state the battery will not charge with a normal charger. It has to be boosted. You could try and boost it yourself to wake the battery. There are plenty of videos on youtube that show you how you can do this. I only suggest doing this if you have a multimeter and know how to use it to check batteries voltage. These internal batteries are a lot harder to do this to than removable batteries like Samsung uses. You basically take a usb charging cable that hooks into your pc or wall and cut off the end with the micro usb and expose its bare wires(while unplugged). Next strip the black and red wires ends exposing the bare wires. I took the ends of the wires and attached them to an extra set of multimeter probes. I put them on the ends that plug into the multimeter. This allows me to precisely put the probes to the batteries charging contacts, or connectors. Now you plug in the usb cable and take the red wire and put it to your batteries positive and take the black wire and put it to your batteries negative. After 30 seconds to a minute, it should boost your batteries voltage back to a chargeable state. A computers USB ports usually supply at least 5v which is enough to boost the battery. I have done this with numerous batteries that read 0v with a tester and I got it up to 3.9v or what ever range I needed within a minute or so. This wakes the battery and now you can put it back in the device and charge normally. Hope this is helpful.

Hi, I can assist you in bringing your phone to life again all on your own.Plug it in to the wall outlet let it sit a while then at the same time press the rectangular button top and the round button at the bottom of the I phone. This should bring your phone back to life. Check the strength of you battery and allow it to charge till it reaches 100%. Good luck you are now a techie. Arnie
