iphone 5s is not charging at all. i switched the charge port and the battery but it doesn’t seem to work. What can it be?
Here’s a good test to see if the replacement charge port you installed is not faulty: -Unplug battery but make sure everything else is plugged in (display, charge port) -Plug the iphone into a charger as if you were charging the device -If your port is good (and there are no other issues such as corrosion, missing fuse/relay/etc), the screen should kick on as if booting normally. Now, if your screen didn’t turn on, there could be other issues here. There could have been some board damage that is preventing the device from receiving a charge. If this is the case, then I would need some more information to give a further diagnosis. Good luck!
Dirt was in the connection port. I followed instructions to clean it out and it still will not recognize the charger.
