I changed the screen in iPhone 5s and while was in there also changed the battery. Now, I the charging is sporadic. I always will get the lighting bolt but most of the time the percentage will not increase. If I plug/unplug the battery a time or two and/or reboot the phone (not sure which one is making it work), it may start charging normally or may charge some and then stop. If I get lucky and it gets to 100%, the charge lasts a very long time. Most of the time, it just does the fake charge scenario. I can connect to the phone in iTunes. The old battery is also doing this so I don’t think it’s the battery. The U2 symptoms I’ve read about don’t seem to match this. Does this seem like a U2 issue or could it be the charging port? Thanks. Update (08/17/2016) It appeared to be the charging port. I remembered I had an extra one so replaced it and now I’ve been able to charge it 4 consecutive times. Keeping fingers crossed. Thanks for all the replies.

Does the light turn on when you plugin the charger?

Try using the old battery and post back with results. There are a ton of crap batteries out there.

That does sound like a U2 IC problem to me.
