Iphone 5s, after i lent my charger to my aunt my phone refused to charge…it would charge to 3% / 4% would not charge any further . then when i try to use it the screen flickered on and off then died. thinking that it was a battery failure i replaced the battery and i have not gotten it to turn on since. im a cellular tech and tried everything in my power now im asking for advise. The only thing i haven’t tried is ordering a brand new batter/charging port or a new charger. can anyone advise me on whats going on or what caused this i would appreciate it
For a no power problem you’re right to think battery, and then new dock connector. A new battery should turn the phone on. If not, then you may have a different problem. First rule out bad (new) battery, then dock connector. After that we will start thinking about the board. Make sure to test if the phone is on by connecting it to iTunes—that way a no display issue won’t get in the way of your troubleshooting jessa
You did say the screen flickered and wouldn’t turn on it could be the display but thats a long shot
