I went ahead and replaced the battery in my Iphone 5S. I must have done something to the screen or there must be something not allowing my screen to sit flush at the top. I think the screen is slightly coming away from the frame and it also doesn’t seem to be able to push down into place where you hear that snap. The bottom is fine, just the top. What are my options and what could be causing this. Attached are a few links for pictures. Appreciate any help. http://i61.tinypic.com/2dl9qf6.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/10yfgh3.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/t8oltc.jpg
Hi Craig! Make sure to start with the top. You want to do the placing starting a little below the very top of the frame, pushing down and then up to align with the top of the frame. Once top of the screen is completely flushed then try closing the bottom. If this is still not working take screen off and make sure that ear speaker metal is correctly installed. Sometimes the little tabs are not in the right position and this could be making contact with the vibrator and not letting your screen be flushed with the frame! Let us know what you find out!
There are 3 hooks/latches(whatever you want to call them. In my case they got bent, i must have inserted the bottom part first and then tried to snap in the upper part, that led to bent latches. I used my phone for 2 years like that . Juat pick a tweezer and straighten those 3 latches in the top part (not flat just a little so it don’t break) then as usual , 1st the top part and then the bottom
