I changed mt housing on my i5s to matte black and gold. Used oem everything but power lock button flex. I seem to have lower cell signal. I do not know why. Is it possible maybe one of the cables aren’t pushed all the way into the logic board?
The housing itself is part of the antennas, some screws and very small contact clips or cables are actually RF conductors. Make sure every one of those small parts are installed correctly. Also check the differences of the original and the replacement housing. In the original one, every screw boss has a surface with anodised colour coating removed, which ensures conductivity. I see a lot of OEM replacement housings simply skip the step of removing excessive coating, you can expect the RF performance go bad on these cases.
