I replaced the battery (plastic tabs broke, so I heated to warm and had no trouble getting it out without serious prying necessary); broke the home button cable getting the phone opened (Grrrrr), so got a new one and replaced it. Everything seemed to plug in fine; felt the nice little tiny “snap” thing with each re-attachment of cables. I’ve plugged it in to charge, but after many minutes, nothing. What are the most likely things I’m looking at now? It would be great if I had some idea what is most (and next, and so on) likely to be the problem. Thanks! Judy
If a battery has been disconnected for an extended period of time–like sitting on a warehouse shelf–It may need to be “reset” using a tester/charger. I have had good luck so far with this one: Kaisi® Battery Tester/Charger Activation Board for Apple Phone 4/4S/5/5C/5S/6/6s/6+/6s+ (12PCS) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019UE4PW0/ref… There may be other ways of “resetting” batteries as well–hope this helps.
