This phone has hit the ground pretty hard and has been bent quite a bit. The LCD and everything else were working fine for a couple months after the damage, then the other day the LCD went out, while everything else still functions properly (digitizer, speakers, calls can be taken, power and volume buttons). Images are included below. I removed the screen and tried a new replacement with no luck. Same thing. I checked the LCD FPC connector, and it looks fine. The only thing I haven’t done is remove the logic board to check for dirt or anything else under that may be causing a short. Any other suggestions are welcome, especially if you’ve come across this issue before. Thank you.

iPhone 6 has a terrible habit of losing its backlight diode function for no reason. Another cause of no backlight in the 6 is long screw damage from mixing up the screws at screen replacement.

Sounds like the backlight fuse on the logic board went out.

Trust me no one will help you on this kind of a job as for all the experts who know how to cleanly do micro soldering jobs, its not worth it That’s what I got back as an answer to my exact problem, I tried doing it my self but when I was half way on putting on a new filter it just flew off my tweezers and never found again so I gave up It’s sad that there is no one who actually is willing to help on doing these repairs as they become pro. They would reply to you with ’ we think it’s a rabbit hole repair and go buy a new phone’ Thanks to them for such a wonderful advice and killing the whole purpose and idea of fixing things :-/
