I’m working on an ip6 that has had one LCI triggered next to the sim slot. Anyways it is not reading any sims, the slot doesn’t look damaged. ideas? I’m stuck on the activation page. Anyway to activate it without a sim?
You Can always connect it to itunes as long as the sim is on the iphone to bypass activation
You can try another SIM card. If it still not work, that’s the problem of your phone. You need to take it to repair. As far as I know, the iPhone 6 cannot be activate without SIM card.
Hello SAM, First check from software level to fix your fault, Settings–> General –> Reset –> Reset Network Settings Or check with " Erase All Content and settings" Note: All data will be lost on the phone If the fault couldn’t be solved in software level you have to Hardware Troubleshoot Check any sim contact missing or bent As you mentioned if the LCI triggered you should have to clean the area with isopropyl alcohol Check the SIM voltage if non of above could solve the fault you may have to replace AS3922 chip to fix the fault (Sound BGA reworking skills required) in this step if any mistake you made, few functionalities wont work anymore including NFC Officially, you should required to sim card to activate your phone.
