I have the original home button to my iphone 6 & reset it to factory settings yesterday. Just tried to setup touch id & i get hit with “Unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back and try again” whats wrong?
you have the original hone button, if you changed the home button from 1 to another screen it is possible to have damaged the cable in the process. Once the cable has been damaged the only way to have the touch ID repaired is for Apple to do so. Before going to apple ensure the cable is connected at both ends correctly. A hard rest should solve the problem if there isn’t any damage to the home button flex. Also if you changed screens -did the screen come with a backplate on the newer screen? If so the cable may be bad. Let us know.
My toch id says the same I have the whole phone original I have not replaced any thing but I only have a screen protector on I need some help
You guys are smart with the details of what will and won’t work. Have a question, Had an iphone 6s where i replaced the screen and transferred over the original touch id, home button as I know you can’t use a new one. I’ve done this many times, but this time the touch id won’t work after put back together. It doesn’t give any error at all. Just when you try to add new finger print, it acts like you don’t have your finger on the home button… No errors. It just won’t prompt you to scan your finger and can’t get it to work. Any ideas?
