My iPhone 6 had been left sitting for a good 3 years and I have been trying to revive it. The battery is at the charged voltage using a multimeter and it still won’t show anything on the screen. I have ordered a new battery and dock connector but if they don’t work what should I do.
Hi Cade, what would you consider a charged voltage? If the phone was left sitting in a dry place for over 3 years the battery is dead 100%. Considering it didn’t suffer any drops etc there shouldn’t be any other issues. Now, suppose you replace the battery and charge port without knocking off any components and the phone still doesn’t work. Your ability to fix the phone depends on your skills and equipment. It could be as easy as knocking off a faulty component or as hard as replacing chips eg. Trystar. I wouldn’t worry about that much.
