Hi Guys So, my Brother in Law gave me his old 6s plus, he said it wasn’t powering up, but if I could fix it I could have it. So following the guides on the site I replaced the Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack. This fixed that problem and the phone was able to charge. I was then able to perform a complete reset of the phone and set it up for myself. This is when I noticed that both Cameras and the Flashlight were not working. I tried every method I could find to no avail, including button pushes, complete erasure and resets, but still couldn’t get them to work. Today I opened up the phone detached the battery, then detached the front-facing camera and sensor cable, reattached the battery and powered up, and this time the rear camera and Flashlight were working. So possibly a front camera replacement I thought. Just to make sure I had seated the front camera properly before, I powered down the phone, detached the battery, reattached the front camera, reattached the battery and powered up. Well, tried to power up. Now the phone won’t power up and there is no apple logo. There is a slight lighting up of the screen, when I plug the power in it beeps, but it is not recognized over usb in itunes. Any ideas on what this might be now and if its an economical fix? Cheers for any help or ideas you can give. Kieran
Inspect the display connectors to ensure they weren’t damaged and that they were seated properly. The screen could’ve been damaged. If you have another screen on hand you can test it. If another screen doesn’t work, then you could have damaged the backlight or image circuit, which will require thousands of dollars in equipment to repair, but you can send it off to a specialist like iPad Rehab or STS Telecom, both of which have youtube channels you can check out.
