so my iphone said i needed update the software and i need to plug it in the computer to do it and it got stuck. i tried the hard rest button but everytime i let go of the power button the phone turns off. i tried to restore it with on itunes and was working, but stopped at 50%. i tried multiple times but just keeps getting stuck. does this sound me like a hardware problem?
Hello, If your iPhone stops at 50%, your battery may be faulty, causing it to stop its restore (even if the iPhone is plugged in during restore, it needs some juice at some point). Check if your iPhone’s dock connector hasn’t been exposed to water, as it may result in a data transmission problem. Also, make sure your Lightning cable isn’t damaged and is an Apple one, and use an USB port connected directly to your motherboard (not on a keyboard or a dongle).
