Chosen Solution

So at night I turned of my phone and went to sleep. When I woke up and turned it on there was a no service message, I thought maybe there was a network issue but later on I thought maybe it was something else. Update the phone to the latest ios but still the error was there.. Then on checking *#06# there was no imei.. I read it was a hardware baseband ic issue.. Does anyone have a picture of how it looks like so I know if to order another one or toss the phone

did you also check Settings / General / About and see what it says for IMEI and Serial number? if it’s still not showing an IMEI, i’d try these things

  1. power cycle the phone
  2. perform a forced restart
  3. upgrade IOS to latest version
  4. perform Reset All Settings (this will not erase apps or data) failing all that, contact your cell provider or an apple store
