The rear camera lens on the 6s has a small crack in it. The camera works fine and so far it does not seem to i,pact picture quality. I was wondering if there was a way to replace this cover?? Thanks
the rear camera lense is solder on the housing you will have to pry it. iPhone 6 Camera Lens Replacement here is the guide this for the 6 but it applies for the 6s as well
Yes, but it has to be done internally. You’d follow the guided to replace the rear camera, but you’d take it one step further and use a ink pen or mechanical pencil and punch the lens out. The lens will fall out the back.
Yeah the video and guides make this look like an easy repair, but it’s pretty difficult because that bracket that holds the rear camera is riveted to the frame of the phone. Be sure to order a new bracket because it’s nearly impossible to not damage the bracket during this repair.
