Chosen Solution
Hey guys So I have done a full water damage repair on an Iphone 6S and it works almost perfect except for the rear facing camera, I open the app and the screen is just blank. I tried a new camera and same issue so assume its still to do with the water damage and maybe corrosion to logic board connection with camera. Any ideas if this can be repaired with someone with more expertise such a replacing the logic board connector etc? On a separate note one other little flaw is it will take a screenshot or go to the slide to power off screen. again possible corrosion of power button cable or logic board connector i presume Thanks a lot
I had the same problem too, but do u zoom into your rear camera FPC connector ? i found that my FPC connector melt cause by the shortage ( liquid).
I’m not sure if this still matters but I am pretty sure if you follow Ben’s advice you’ll find you’ll need and new FPC connector and have to double check around the area with a microscope. Just giving credit where credit is due. I was in a sinus last situation except water damage can go just about anywhere… one physical sign could lead you to another several issues down the line.
