Chosen Solution
There are so many solutions out there, but I haven’t found any solution for this issue yet. We have seen it on a few phones now where the phone is stuck on “no service”, but there is no sim card in the phone. When I insert a sim card, there is no change to the network status. From what I can tell, the phone is unable to actually read the sim when it is installed. We do microsoldering, but I can’t find the culprit in this case.
Does it show an imei number? If not then I believe its a chip gone. If so then try cleaning the simreader, also check that the little micro switch at the back of the sim reader is working and not corroded.
It can be a soft wear issue and just reset the phone to get rid of it.
