so I changed the battery on my iphone 6s by removing the screen. after trying to restart, it is showing me that it cannot activate touch id. hard restarting does not work the home button working tho, it is not recognizing fingerprints anymore. I initially thought that it might be an issue with the flex cable, but as I said the home button working without any problem, also, I don’t really see any visible damage in the finger print flex cable or the both the connectors
You need to check the home botton connector to the logic board (top screen). If that flex is damaged then you need a new screen.
