Hi, device is an iPhone 6s, came in with no power and wasn’t drawing any power from charger. First thoughts were charging port as Lightning Cable felt a wee bit loose when connected I placed a new battery on top of the old one just to attempt to power on device and it booted on just fine. I tried charging once powered on but still nothing. Therefore I went ahead and changed the charging port but still the device won’t charge or be picked up by computer. Am I right in ruling out charge ic as Would a charge ic issue still let you connect to computer? Have tried 2 ports in case one had a Fault. No sign of any charging port connector damage under scope. Any tips appreciated thanks

Tristar chip needs replaced, microsoldering job. Symptoms of bad tristar:

  • iPhone not being detected by computer
  • Not charging while on
  • Not charging when battery is flat
  • Apple logo not displaying when battery is unplugged and charger is plugged in.
