Hi I bought a faulty Iphone 7, The front camera works but the earpiece and proximity sensor do not work. No other symptoms such as boot loops/long boot times. I replaced the earpiece thinking it was solely that but it wasnt. any help appreciated.
when making phone calls is the speaker greyed out? if it is it is a audio ic issue.
The ribbon is EXTREMELY thin and fragile, certainly much more so than its predecessors. I would try replacing it and make sure your connectors are nice and clean. The ribbon can be damaged, but not broken, leaving partial functionality. It’s not common, but it can certainly happen.
