Touch ID is working perfectly and home button is also working, but it does not respond to the normal force. In order to make it work, I have to push it really hard. It is not usable at all. I reinstalled it multiple times with the different tightness of the screws, but the problem remains the same. Is there any way to fix the home button?
Try another screen. I’m wondering if the flex cable for the button might have slight damage or a broken line that gets “fixed” when you apply more pressure. If it’s the button, you can replace it but you’ll lose TouchID. Home button repair is near impossible on these models unless it’s like a damaged flex cable.
