There’s hundreds or even more of IC’s inside a device. I assume you are referring to the touch IC. Yes the original, refurbished screens use the OEM / original IC’s while the aftermarket screens use the aftermarket IC’s. Edit: The touch ic is on the LCD flex ribbon cable while the 3d touch ic is behind the backlight of the screen.
