How do I remove the silent switch from the old housing to new I see two metal clips or something holding the switch in place.
I know this is a very late reply, but for anyone still looking, you need to just pull the mute switch up and bend the metal clips holding it in until you can slide the switch out. Then slide the new switch in and use a small flat head screwdriver to flatten the metal clips you have just bent.
Follow this guide, specifically Steps 71-98 for more detailed info on removing the Mute switch and the Power/Volume Flex.
