It was any other day. I went to go get my phone and it didn’t power on. I let it charge overnight and in the morning it would power on. I went to a repair shop and they said that the home button came displaced and to take it to Apple. It doesn’t have any sort of warranty. I feel like the home button thing is BS. Would it be the battery? Please help.

Lithium Ion batteries typically last about a year and a half before they start drastically degrading. BUT that also varies on your charging habits, so id check for a dirty charge port, but I would for sure change the battery. if they are the FIRST people to open it and they say your home button is torn then they tore it getting into the adhesive of the phone and technically (if you can prove it) owe you a new phone because your touch id will not work again due to it being paired at the factory with your board IC

From my research on the topic, the home button thing probably was BS, and it might be a battery issue. You can go to a repair shop and get it fixed for less than 100$
