Chosen Solution
Hi, I have an iPhone 7 and the battery goes from 100% to 10% within a hour with no use so decided to change the battery (wish I didn’t) but think I was a little to forceful when removing the screen other something as I ripped back ribbon cable which seems to be the home and Touch ID cable. Is there a way to fix this by replacing the ribbon cable?
thanks
You will not have touch id functionality. The home buttons are paired to the phone itself and there isnt a way to only replace the ribbon cable that I know of.
With the price of the repair exceeding the value of the lcd replacement… I wouldn’t even mess with it. but yes, flex cable repair is possible in most situations. Did battery replacement fix your battery issue?
