Hello all! I have an iPhone 7 that is stuck in boot screen after a failed update and I can’t update or restore it myself. I made an update the night before I left for a longer journey last October. The installation seemed normal until it rebooted – it got stuck in a loop. I set it aside and took my old phone with me. I’m back now and over the last days I read guides and tried to restore it, but nothing works. I can boot the phone in restore and DFU mode. iTunes recognises the phone correctly. When trying to update it says that it can’t be updated and I need to do all full restore. The restore works up until a certain point, then iTunes goes to 100% in the status bar, the phone stays at around 10-15% status bar. It stays like this forever. The log says: [17:43:33.5171] <Restore Device 0x6000006c6520>: operation 13 progress 34[17:43:33.5191] ASR progress: Broken pipe The log as a textfile can be seen here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wkp5ovitff1gpm… There is no difference if I do it in DFU or restore.I tried different lightning cables, they all work fine when updating another phone. One is brand new OOTB from my iPad.macOS and iTunes are the latest revisions from a few days ago. If there is any advice or knowledge you can share, I’d be glad, as I’d love to use my iPhone 7 again. Best, S.
Bring it to Apple, they will fix it
