Hi, I am in the process of replacing a screen and a battery on an iPhone 7. I have installed both (but not applied either adhesive yet) and it will not turn on… I have plugged it in and it has been charging for about 10 minutes but still nothing… I tried plugging it into my mac but got no response… I then tried to reset the phone (holding volume and power buttons) and it came up on itunes saying that there is a problem with this phone and that it needs to be restored to fix it… Shall I get my friend’s icloud details and do so? What else can I try?
You may have replaced some screws in the wrong places. The screws holding down the shield plate for the screen plug ins need to be put in the exact place they came out as they are different sizes. If you put them in the wrong place, you can break the logic board, which could lead to the problems you are having.
