Today i fixed the iPhone 8 for a friend. Everything seems to work properly, but the Home Button is not working. Touch ID works and it vibrates too. I tried a hard reset with no improvement. Thanks for your help
Try disconnecting the home button from the screen and cleaning the connections also do the same thing to the motherboard connection. Used a qtip and alcohol and a soft brush. If that doesn’t work you may have a defective screen. It does happen. Also check the cable on the home button, they are easy to tear and the part of the connector is extremely thin and really easy to tear.
