hi I replaced iPhone 8s screen and home button, they are all buy from ifixit, after phone start, it show me “unable activate Touch ID on this phone”. and I try to replace original home bottom again, it is worked, why? How can I use ifixit iPhone 8s home button? Thanks
Replacement home button will never have Touch ID, this has been the case since 2013. Starting with iPhone 7, the replacement won’t work as a button either.
