My iPhone I’ve had for a very long time , it is cracked a lot but still works . BUT overtime i power it on it has to stay on the charger , if i take it off the charger for one second it powers off AT 100% and takes hours to power back on , how do i fix my phone so that it can stay off the charger and function perfectly fine ?
Is this really an iPhone 4? Dude, sounds like that battery is iToast. You could replace the battery, but if the phone’s as cracked up as you say, perhaps it’s time to retire it. [edit] And by that I don’t mean to contradict the iFixit credo, but that the expense of a iPhone 4 battery replacement kit may not be justified by usefulness of the resulting repaired iPhone.
Guaranteed the battery. You just nailed every symptom of a bad battery. Replace it and you should. be back in business!
