Just check if you can record voice memos if it will not it will be the signature audio IC fault on the 7 series. There is a trace on the logic board under the audio IC that loses contact with the IC. The repair should be done be a reputable repairer who offers microsoldering. The repair hovers around $100 depending on what region you live.
