Okay, so this all happened one night, when I was charging my iPhone 5S, like normal, and I had to do something and a family member noticed the phone was “very hot”. She unplugged the phone, and the phone would refuse to power on or charge. iTunes won’t recognize the device, and it gets very hot while charging. After leaving it for a bit, nothing happens. I have a strong feeling this is a battery issue, and 100% sure not a display issue, as the vibration sensor and speaker isn’t responding at all. I just want to recover my data and put it on my new device.

Hopefully it is just the battery going bad, otherwise it will be a problem with the logic board and that will require someone that does micro-soldering / board repair to fix. Try getting the battery changed out and see how that goes. How to replace the battery in your iPhone 5s iPhone 5s Battery
