Hi guys, Does anyone know where to purchase an SE2 frame from? Does it fit in an iPhone 8 chassis as customer has smashed front and rear, but cannot source a replacement frame. Has anybody successfully moved the internals to an iPhone 8 Chassis? The customer is happy with this solution - if it can be done :)
I don’t think the iPhone 8 frame will work for a se2. The mounting for the motherboard is different I believe.
Mostly people think so that both have same frame/chassis/ housing. I am seeking for the right experience and answer.
I have done it on my own iPhone SE2 after the rear glass broke. I found it easier to pay $20 for an entire iPhone 8 chassis than to fool around with picking off the glass shards. The swap works wonderfully, though the procedure requires stripping every part and keeping track of the screws. I also have some doubts about the quality of mobile reception (battery goes down pretty quickly), but that might be unrelated. I do not understand why people answer these questions with “I don’t think” or “Mostly”. Either you know or you do not. I have done it, so I know it is possible.
