I tried replacing my iPhone 6s battery today, it turned on in recovery mode when I pressed the power button. I can get it into both recovery and DFU mode, but iTunes always show an error (1) when trying to restore. I was able to get it out of recovery mode but that’s when it got stuck in a bootloop. Is it possible that I’ve damaged it beyond repair?
Try using a program called 3utools. It’s free and it has the capability to kick an iPhone out of recovery mode.
